One Stop Auto Body & Paint Earns New Manufacturer Collision Repair Certifications
One Stop Auto Body & Paint in Phoenix has earned new collision repair certifications covering Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Fiat vehicles.
The certifications are administered through the Collision Performance Network, also called CPN. For drivers, the important part is not simply having another badge on the wall. Certification sets requirements for technician training, equipment, repair information, shop capabilities and ongoing review.
That matters because today's cars can have cameras, radar, ultrasonic sensors, high-strength metals, electric vehicle systems and driver-assistance technology built into areas that may look like ordinary body parts from the outside.
What Is the Collision Performance Network?
The Collision Performance Network works with vehicle manufacturers on collision repair certification programs. Its requirements cover areas such as training, repair equipment, access to manufacturer repair information and documented shop capabilities.
Our New Collision Repair Certifications
One Stop has completed requirements for several manufacturer collision repair programs. Each program applies to specific vehicle brands and adds requirements beyond simply having experience repairing that make.
Hyundai Recognized Collision Repair
One Stop Auto Body & Paint is approved as part of Hyundai's collision repair network. Current CPN requirements also include Hyundai-specific collision repair training.
Kia Certified Collision Repair
One Stop is approved through the Kia Certified Collision Repair Program. Kia's certification process includes documented requirements and an on-site facility inspection.
Genesis Certified Collision Repair
Genesis certification includes technical requirements along with quality-control training. Current CPN standards include specific I-CAR quality courses for participating Genesis repair facilities.
FCA Certified Collision Repair
Our FCA certification covers Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Fiat vehicles.
What Does Certified Collision Repair Actually Mean?
A body shop can repair many makes and models without being part of a manufacturer certification program. Certification adds another layer of requirements that the facility must meet.
The current Collision Performance Network C.O.R.E. requirements cover items ranging from business qualifications and insurance to technician education, welding equipment, vehicle lifts, advanced driver-assistance systems and electric vehicle training.
Training and Repair Information
CPN requires proof of ADAS and EV training. Manufacturer-specific programs can add their own technical courses and access to repair information for those vehicles.
Specified Repair Equipment
Current requirements include specific welding capability, including a resistance spot welder capable of at least 600 pounds of clamping force and 10,000 amps at the electrodes.
Inspection and Ongoing Review
Certification is not simply self-declared. Kia's program includes an on-site inspection, and the Hyundai, Kia, Genesis and FCA certification materials describe annual inspection and certification.
Why Certification Matters More on Modern Cars
Collision repair has changed because the vehicle itself has changed.
Cameras, radar units, parking sensors and other electronic systems can sit behind bumpers, inside mirrors, near windshields and around body panels. A damaged part may therefore involve much more than metal, plastic and paint.
AAA studied advanced driver-assistance system repair costs using several 2023 vehicle repair scenarios. Across the four scenarios in the study, ADAS parts, labor, aiming and calibration represented 37.6% of the averaged repair costs.
These figures come from specific research studies and should not be treated as the result for every vehicle or every repair. The 49% figure measures the effectiveness of automatic emergency braking, not the performance of certified repair shops.
A Side Mirror Is a Good Example of How Cars Have Changed
A side mirror looks like a simple exterior part. On a newer vehicle, however, it may contain cameras, blind-spot equipment or other electronics.
In AAA's side-mirror repair scenario, ADAS-related component replacement averaged about $1,067. That represented 70.8% of the average $1,507 repair estimate in the vehicles studied.
The same issue appears around bumpers and glass. AAA found that ADAS work represented 40.9% of the average repair estimate in its minor rear-collision scenario. Relocating ADAS equipment to a replacement windshield and completing calibration averaged $360 in the windshield scenario.
Why This Matters After a Collision
Damage that looks cosmetic may affect a camera, radar unit, sensor, mounting point or other part used by a driver-assistance system.
This is one reason collision repair increasingly involves scanning, repair information, testing and calibration in addition to body and paint work.
Driver-Assistance Systems Are No Longer Rare Features
Research from the Partnership for Analytics Research in Traffic Safety, or PARTS, shows how quickly driver-assistance technology has become common.
Among vehicles in the PARTS study set, lane-departure warning increased from 12.6% of model year 2015 vehicles to 92.5% of model year 2023 vehicles.
Lane-keeping assistance increased from 1.4% to 86.3% over the same period. Adaptive cruise control increased from 4.7% to 68.2%, and blind-spot warning increased from 25.1% to 73.3%.
That means the technology collision technicians deal with today is very different from what was common only a few years ago.
These Systems Also Have a Measurable Safety Role
PARTS and MITRE studied data from 98 million vehicles across 168 models covering model years 2015 through 2023.
The vehicle data was combined with more than 21 million police-reported crashes.
In that research, automatic emergency braking was associated with a 49% reduction in front-to-rear crashes.
That statistic does not mean a certified body shop reduces crashes by 49%. It shows why cameras, radar and other systems damaged during a collision should be treated as part of the vehicle's safety technology, not simply as optional electronics.
Recognized by Hyundai Motor America

Another useful part of the certification process is ongoing review.
The Hyundai, Kia, Genesis and FCA certification materials state that participating collision repair providers are inspected and certified annually.
Kia's certification material describes a six-step certification process. One step is an on-site inspection where the facility is reviewed and compliance is documented with photos and other records.
That ongoing process matters because vehicle technology, repair information and training requirements continue to change.
What This Means for Phoenix Drivers
You do not need to understand welding amperage, calibration targets or every sensor on your car before choosing a body shop.
Certification gives you another way to check whether a repair facility has gone through requirements for your vehicle manufacturer.
When your Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram or Fiat is involved in an accident, you can now bring it to One Stop Auto Body & Paint knowing that our shop has completed the applicable collision repair certification requirements.
The correct repair still depends on the exact year, model, equipment and damage. A small dent and a structural collision will not follow the same repair process.
Our job is to inspect the vehicle, identify what was affected and build the repair plan around what that specific vehicle needs.
